Activities at the campsite
There are plenty of opportunities to be active and have fun at Fjellerup Strands Camping, both on site and in the beautiful natural surroundings.
Ball games, bats and active fun
Whether you enjoy football, handball, dodgeball or badminton, there is room for it all, either on the outdoor sports field or in the activity hall. You can also play volleyball or table tennis. Bats, rackets and balls can be borrowed from reception, so it is easy to get started.
Darts and pétanque challenges
In the sheltered area, you can challenge friends and family to a game of darts. You can borrow darts from reception. You can also play a round of pétanque and see who can get closest to the jack.
Out on the water
When the weather is good and you feel like testing your balance, you can rent a SUP board by the hour or for the whole day and head out onto the water. It is a calm and enjoyable way to experience the coast.
Activities outside the campsite
Just outside the campsite, there are even more activities available.
Padel tennis and tennis
Only 100 meters up the road, you can play tennis or challenge each other to a game of padel tennis. Fjellerup Community Council has established both a padel tennis court and a tennis court.
Minifgolf
Just outside the campsite, you will find two minigolf courses, perfect for a friendly family competition. Play to decide who has to do the washing up, cook dinner, or simply claim bragging rights for the rest of the day. The atmosphere is great, and laughter is almost guaranteed!
Golf
Within a radius of just 15 km, there are no fewer than three golf courses.
Lübker was named Denmark’s best golf course in 2022. Here, every hole is fully integrated into the surrounding natural landscape. This means that the course’s challenges are largely created by nature’s own obstacles, making it a truly unique place to play golf.
Norddjurs Golf Club has an 18-hole course set in gently rolling terrain. Some holes are partly sheltered by the plantation, while others are in more open surroundings. As a result, the wind can become a very active ally or opponent, depending on its direction and strength.
Djurs Golf Pay & Play welcomes you to a lovely 9-hole golf course where everyone can play, with no club membership required.
Hiking
Fjellerup Strands Camping is located in beautiful natural surroundings, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy a walk by the water, in the forest, or perhaps a combination of both.
In Norddjurs, you can follow Caminorddjurs, a route that runs along the coast of Norddjurs and Randers Fjord.
Caminorddjurs stretches from Allingåbro in the west and ends at Glatved Strand south of Grenaa. The route is approximately 100 km long.
Cycling
The nature around the campsite is ideal for bringing your mountain bike and experiencing the varied landscape of forest and beach. You can also simply bring your bike for a family ride out into the countryside.
The routes through Meilgård’s forests are highly recommended. Ask at reception for maps of different routes in the area, so you can plan your trip through the beautiful countryside.
